Finding Your Place.
Finding Your Place is an introduction to the things that Gateway Church believes and is passionate about. It is built around five G’s:
Grace
Growth
Group
Generosity
Gifts
These five G’s are easy to remember and sum up the things that we believe are important in church life. They help us work out our vision:
Adventure: a people on a mission
Purity: living holy lives
Compassion: doing the works of the kingdom
Finding Your Place is an introduction to Gateway and not the whole story. You will only discover the whole story by deciding to fully immerse yourself in the life of the church community. Finding Your Place will help you decide whether or not you want to do this.
Through Finding Your Place we will look at the five G’s of church life: Grace, Growth, Group, Generosity, Gift. These five things can only be properly worked out by committing yourself in membership to a local church.
There are numerous benefits to church membership, but here are just a few:
It identifies you as a genuine believer (Ephesians 2:19, Romans 12:5).
It provides a spiritual family to support and encourage you in your walk with Christ (Galatians 6:1-2, Hebrews 10:24-25).
It gives you a place to discover and use your gifts in ministry (1 Corinthians 12:4-27).
It places you under the spiritual protection of godly leaders (Hebrews 13:17, Acts 20:28-29).
It gives you the accountability you need to grow (Ephesians 5:21).
Attending the Finding Your Place course does not commit you to membership of Gateway Church, but it is a requirement for those wishing to become members.
