2025 marked the centenary of a church starting to gather on Alder Road. As we celebrated all that the Lord has done among us over the past 100 years, we felt him speaking to us about being recommissioned. We are so thankful for our history, but we really want to push into God’s future for us.

 

As part of this, we sense the Lord leading us in a church planting vision: by 2035, we would love to plant five more churches out of Gateway. Church planting is in our DNA: We are part of Advance, a church planting movement; we’ve supported and helped many church plants over the years; in 2018, we sent out Iain & Lyndsay Kennedy to plant Glasgow Grace church. Over the next ten years, we want to go again!

 

Our dream is to start new churches locally in the BCP conurbation, in rural Dorset, and in the nations. Maybe the Lord is stirring your heart about church planting, too. If so, please get in touch – we’d love to talk!
